Just a brief post today about the trials and tribulations of removing a mast that is highly corroded.  We have tried heat, corrosion buster, lubricants and that puppy won’t move. It is time to get out cutting tools — you can always replace the pin! We have never had one stump us this badly before. And a word about the rudder stuffing box we pulled off — there was 4 rings of packing in there but only one was the correct size, which actually means there was only one ring.
