Tuesday
Yesterday was such a beautiful day it brought customers out en masse for a bit of dickering around on their boats – although I didn’t see any of them actually go out.
The Eastbay 49 that was heading to Florida that everyone was working on in Oxford has now shown up in Trappe. The captain wanted to get the boat hauled and the props cleaned before making that journey.
We couldn’t haul it yet however. We launched the Legacy 28 for sea trials and found a leaking thru-hull / seacock. This is why we don’t endorse using plastic fittings in a boat. Someone had cross threaded the seacock and we couldn’t get it off. Now it is tying up the lift.
