Friday

There will be no blog one day next week – I have my annual physical and want to take care of some other things that can’t be done on the weekend so I am going to take a rare day off. I just wish I could remember what day the physical is. It is a fairly nice day to be working outside – I can see it through the window. But we certainly don’t need to listen to me cant today as I usually do. We got the davit installed on the Sabreliner yesterday and does it shine! The boat looks more uniform now that the davit and the mast are the same shade of white. We did however notice that the motor housing got missed in the painting of all the small parts. We are on that right now to be able to install on Monday. We also had the GB42 heading off to the sanding area for some dusty work we can’t do in the building. They wasted no time jumping into this project – it is fun to sand gel coat and bottom paint with a high speed sander. They made great strides yesterday. They are used to working with slower random orbital sanders and this is the first time they have used the big boy toys. It did take a bit of training to make sure they didn’t go overboard. This is the first time I have noticed this, but this boat has the power cord attachment under the step which makes it very unobtrusive yet convenient to use. Europa sales seem to be leading the market in our sales department – specifically the GB42 Europa and we have just listed a 2004 model  in our brokerage section. Maybe it’s time to upgrade!
