Thursday
Alone again, unnaturally. Everyone is somewhere else working today but as usual, Alan is manning the fort. I sent a camera with one of them so I could have some photos for tomorrow. We did manage to pull a storage boat before everyone departed. This is a the Hatteras that I had mentioned before that had taken a lightning strike.
The bottom looked pretty good on this boat but as usual, the underwater metals are barnacle collectors. We can give temporary protection but if boats stay in too long they are destined to suffer the same fate.
There is also some boot band painting happening on the Alden. With all the prep work in this, it should turn out great. As you know the final job will only as good as the prep work.
Sorry, no photos from Willy today so no Willy Update. I wonder how long it will take him to forget about us working stiffs back here on the coast?
