Mid-Week
Still cold here if you’re wondering, and that’s all I’m going to say about that. The guys seem to be in good spirits despite the frigidity. They stuck the lazarette hatches in the holes temporarily to measure in relationship to the deck to see where they might need to be sanded down.
This is an area we see cracked all the time on Eastbays. The corner where the transom door is located seems to have a lot of stress. You can’t just fill it, it needs to be build up with some layers of cloth and resin to make it strong. This had to be done before the boat is painted.
I thought I’d show you the mast parts that were primed. The green tint is the aluminum primer that is recommended by Awlgrip.
We have also been doing major surgery on some of our power pedestals — which are important to have out in the big building where no boat is close to a receptacle.
Midweek Pick Me Up
On my early morning wood turning You Tube watching I normally try to skip commercials but this one was f***ing great.
