Express Cruiser Boats for Sale
An Express Cruiser is a fast cruising boat. To distinguish it from similar boat styles, it has a full head, a galley, comfortable staterooms and quality interiors.
Express Cruisers are usually large open areas for guests to congregate near the helm area and in the back of the boat. It is a perfect boat for shorter overnight or day trips where speed is of importance due to time constraints, but comfort is still expected. Most have at least partially enclosed helm areas to keep the helmsman and guests out of the weather and to provide air conditioning if necessary. This boat is suited for almost any cruising area and is a good compromise between the slower trawler type boats and the dime a dozen smaller boats.
Today’s Market
Most of the primary yacht manufacturers have developed their own concept of the express cruiser — Grand Banks, Sabre, Pearson and Hinckley— to name a few of the larger yacht builders. Even though each company puts their own spin on the express cruiser, they all share the common traits — comfort, speed, open space and modern hull designs based on classic good looks.
OYA Involvement
OYA became heavily involved with express cruisers with the introduction of the Grand Banks Eastbay 38, which we found to have all the characteristics our clients, especially on the Chesapeake Bay, were looking for.
