WOW, it’s a blustery day but at least there is no fog today. I suspect no one will be arriving with boats today but by Monday I predict a bunch of boats will be sitting at the docks. This type of weather reminds you that no matter how badly you want to be boating, the season is over for rational people. (ignore this if you are in fairer climates – right Mike?)
I posted some transmission information earlier this month. We can’t stress how important it actually is to care for those as much as you do for your engines. If not, you will probably end up with a situation like that below. Ask us to sample the fluid for you. The sample can give you very useful information.
I had also shown last month a boat that we struck a waterline on and painted the bottom. Although it looked quite funky on the ground, in the water it seems to be spot on. The owner finally got back to town to pick it up and was very pleased with the result.
I showed a sheet of insulation cover yesterday. Here is the type of stuff we are making out of it for the Legacy.
We decided to go whole hog on the boat and moved it into the building. Here we have stripped the whole boat down – but not to the waterline (yet).
Anything Can Happen Friday
No, we are not closed for Veteran’s Day, but that doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate them. Thanks to guys and gals who help make us free.
Looking for something to do this weekend. The Annual Waterfowl Festival is happening in Easton. This has snowballed into a HUGE affair. If you stop by you can even see our own Wayne Wheeler who does some wonderful carving. There are exhibitions, classes, things for sale, live entertainment, dog trials, excellent food, wine-tasting and too many items to mention individually. Visit the website for more information and then just go – you won’t be disappointed.
